Is the Santa naughty list video free?

No. A template video uses 750 credits at 480p (1,500 in HD), about $10 with a credit pack. Starter and Pro plans pay half (375) and Unlimited pays 30%: 225 credits a video, about $2.25. The 100 free credits you get when you sign up are not enough for one video.

Can my child end up on the naughty list?

No. Santa keeps them guessing for a few seconds and mentions a few little slips, but the ending is always the nice list. There is no naughty list version.

What do I upload?

Only one photo of your living room, with no people in it. You do not need a photo of your child, and please do not upload one: Santa is the only one in the video.

Will Santa say my child’s name right?

The prompt asks Santa to say the name you type, and in our test run he said Leo clearly. For an unusual name, spell it the way it sounds in English (for example Shivon for Siobhan). We cannot promise every name comes out right; if one does not, you can make the video again.

What if there are people in my photo?

The prompt asks for Santa to be the only one in the video, but a room photo with nobody in it works best. Take it when the room is empty.

Can I change what Santa says?

You fill in the name and one good thing they did this year; the rest of his lines are fixed, in English. Leave the good thing empty and Santa says they shared their toys and helped at home.
