How to make a Kling 2.1 Pro video
- 1
Describe the shot
Write who is in the scene, what happens and how the camera moves. Or upload a photo to start from it.
- 2
Pick the settings
Choose the aspect ratio, 1080p and 5–10 seconds. The credits update before you generate.
- 3
Generate and download
Each run renders one video, ready to download (no watermark on paid plans); if a run fails, its credits are refunded.
What it does well
Image to video
Upload a still as the first frame and bring it to life while the composition, the faces and the light stay the same.
First and last frame
Give the opening and the closing image; the motion and the transition in between are filled in for you.
Pay for what you make
Billed per run, with the total on the button before you generate. Failed runs are refunded.
Settings and prices
Each video has a fixed price; the button always shows the exact total before you generate.
| Setting | Price | Example | Unlimited plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1080p · 5s | 120 credits / video | 5-second clip = 120 credits | Uses credits |
| 1080p · 10s | 240 credits / video | 10-second clip = 240 credits | Uses credits |
Prompt tips for better videos
Lead with the subject and the action
Start with who or what is on screen and what changes during the clip: "a chef flips a pancake", not "cooking". One clear action per shot gives the steadiest motion.
Name one camera move
Pick one: slow push-in, tracking shot, orbit or handheld. Say where it starts and where it ends; stacking several moves in a short clip tends to look jittery.
Set the light, the lens and the mood
Golden hour, neon night or soft studio light; a 35mm wide shot or an 85mm close-up. These words change the look far more than "beautiful" or "cinematic" on their own.
Start from a clean image
For image to video, use a sharp, well-lit picture in the same aspect ratio as the clip, and describe only the motion. There is no need to repeat what is already in the photo.
Example prompt
A cyclist rides through a rainy neon street at night, puddles splashing under the wheels. Slow tracking shot from the side, 35mm, reflections on the wet asphalt.

Character stories
Keep one character across scenes for a series, a short drama or a recurring brand mascot.
