Which photos work best

Face clear
The clip ends in a warm close-up of your face: a clear photo works best.
A clear face
A sharp, front-facing photo: the camera gets close.
The shirt dress
You wear the card’s black-and-white patterned shirt dress, whatever the photo shows: your face and hair are what matter.

What is a Christmas ecard video?

A christmas ecard video is a short greeting that moves: instead of a still card, the person sending it appears in a festive scene and smiles at the one who gets it.

Our template is a scene on our own cast clip. From one photo you keep your face, hair, skin tone and body type and wear the clip’s black-and-white patterned shirt dress; the decorated living room, the tree, the stockings, the mug of cocoa and the timing come with the template.

Questions

Is the Animated Christmas Card free?

No. A template video uses 750 credits at 480p (1,500 in HD), about $10 with a credit pack. Starter and Pro plans pay half (375) and Unlimited pays 30%: 225 credits a video, about $2.25. The 100 free credits you get when you sign up are not enough for one video.

Can I send it as a Merry Christmas video from my photo?

Yes: it is a merry christmas video from photo, ready to download from My creations and send in any chat app or post.

Do I keep my outfit?

No: in this card you wear the clip’s black-and-white patterned shirt dress. Your face, hair, skin tone and body type come from your photo.

Does the card have text on it?

No: the video has no words on screen, so you can add your own message when you send it.

Whose photo can I use?

Adults only: photos of children are not supported. Your own, or a friend’s who agreed to it. No famous people. Uploads go through an automatic safety check.

Can I post my animated christmas card?

Yes. It is a finished 7-second vertical video with the sound mixed in, so you can post it to TikTok as it is.

Does the video have sound?

Yes: your video comes with the clip’s sound, mixed in. If TikTok flags the sound for copyright, swap in a sound from TikTok’s sound library when you post.
