What is the smooth criminal dance trend?

The smooth criminal dance trend is a dance challenge: people film themselves doing the best-known moves set to “Smooth Criminal”, the hat-brim tilt, the knee lift, the glide, the kicks and the sharp poses, often in a dance studio.

Our template is a cover in a bright studio with a barre. From one photo you are the dancer, with your own face, hair and clothes; every move, the camera and the timing come with the template.

Questions

Is Smooth Criminal Dance Challenge AI free?

No. A template video uses 750 credits at 480p (1,500 in HD), about $10 with a credit pack. Starter and Pro plans pay half (375) and Unlimited pays 30%: 225 credits a video, about $2.25. The 100 free credits you get when you sign up are not enough for one video.

How long is a Smooth Criminal dance clip?

14 seconds: the hat tilt, the knee lift, the glide, the kicks, the spins and the poses.

Does it include the famous lean?

No. This template has the hat-brim tilt, the knee lift, the glide, the kicks and the spins; the prompt does not ask for a smooth criminal lean, so it is not a lean AI clip.

Is the dancer in the sample Michael Jackson?

No. The sample is a cover by one of our actors in a dance studio; your video shows you.

Whose photo can I use?

Adults only: photos of children are not supported. Your own, or a friend’s who agreed to it. No famous people. Uploads go through an automatic safety check.

Can I post my smooth criminal dance challenge video?

Yes. It is a finished 14-second vertical video with the sound mixed in, so you can post it to TikTok as it is.

Does the video have sound?

Yes: your video comes with the clip’s sound, mixed in. If TikTok flags the sound for copyright, swap in a sound from TikTok’s sound library when you post.
