Which photos work best

Full body or half body
The trend is all hands and shoulders, so a photo that shows the arms works best.
One person per photo
Two separate photos, one person in each, both facing the camera. A group photo is harder to read.
The pair is the joke
An uncle and a nephew, a bathrobe and a suit, a parent and a teenager: the odder the pair, the funnier.

What is the Hotel Lobby AI trend?

'Hotel Lobby (Unc & Phew)' is a 2022 rap song by Quavo and Takeoff. In October 2026 its video came back on TikTok, and people started using AI to put themselves and a friend in the shot: two people at a plain orange wall, a studio mic hanging between them, rapping with their hands, pointing, shrugging and nodding to the beat.

Our Hotel Lobby AI template follows the trend shot for shot: one fixed shot, full body, side by side. Photo 1 takes the left, photo 2 the right. Faces and outfits come from the photos, so an uncle in a bathrobe next to a nephew in a hoodie works as well as two friends. Add the sound on TikTok when you post.

Questions

Is Hotel Lobby AI free?

No. A template video uses 750 credits at 480p (1,500 in HD), about $10 with a credit pack. Starter and Pro plans pay half (375) and Unlimited pays 30%: 225 credits a video, about $2.25. The 100 free credits you get when you sign up are not enough for one video.

Whose photos can I use?

Adults only: don't upload photos of children. Your own photo, and one of a friend or family member who agreed to be in the video. No photos of famous people. Uploads go through an automatic safety check before anything is made.

Can I use one photo of both of us?

Two separate photos work best: one person in each slot, photo 1 for the left and photo 2 for the right. Crop a group photo into two if that is all you have.
