The Perdon photo trend took off on Spanish-speaking TikTok in October 2026. It starts with a photo that looks too good to be true: a night out at a bar, a drink in hand, full makeup, perfect hair.
Then the captions take it back one by one, "ok, I wasn’t drinking", "no makeup, not that blonde either", until the real, everyday photo shows up with one word: "Perdón", Spanish for "sorry". It is the AI vs reality photo trend at its funniest, and the joke is on the perfect version.

Is the Perdon AI trend free?
No. A Perdón video uses 750 credits, about $10 with a credit pack. Starter and Pro plans pay half (375) and Unlimited pays 30%: 225 credits a video, about $2.25. The 100 free credits you get when you sign up are not enough for one video.
Whose photo can I use for the Perdon AI trend?
Adults only: don't upload photos of children. Your own photo, or one of a friend or family member who agreed to be in the video. No photos of famous people. Uploads go through an automatic safety check before anything is made.
Does the video have sound?
Yes: your video comes with the trend’s sound, so you can post it to TikTok as it is. If TikTok flags the sound for copyright, swap in the same song from TikTok’s sound library when you post.
What does "Perdón" mean?
"Perdón" is Spanish for "sorry" or "excuse me". In the trend it is the punchline: sorry, the perfect photo was not real.
Can I change the captions?
Not yet. The captions are set: English on this page, the trend’s original Spanish lines on the Spanish page. The other languages get the English ones for now.
Will it look like me?
